Ippolito Parrinello was born in Mazara del Vallo (TP) on the 14th of February 1989. He begins studying piano and composing at the age of 14, while studying in Italy he also starts studying with ABRSM (Associated Board of The Royal School of Music), getting his first piano diploma in 2010. In 2013 he graduates in piano performance at the Istituto Musicale Toscanini di Ribera with full marks, the same year he obtains a degree in Discipline della Musica (Faculty of the performing acts) at the University of Palermo with highest honours. In 2018 he obtains the Master’s Degree in piano at the Conservatorio Scontrino di Trapani with Maestro Franco Fodera, playing the italian premiere of Michael Harrison’s Revelation. In 2016 he wins the first edition of Premio Bianca Gandolfo and he plays Ravel’s Left Hand Concerto with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana. Since 2017 is part of PFEL together with Andrea Gerlando Terrana, focusing on the repertoire for piano and electronics and performing at events such as the 3rd edition of “elettroAQustica” in L’Aquila and Piano City Palermo in 2018. In 2019 he plays the premiere of de_frammentazione in Selinunte’s acropolis. As a composer he has written numerous pieces of absolute music for various formations as well as music for different medias.
