The Warrior Lover takes its cue from the book of the same name (2008) by journalist and historian Giordano Bruno Guerri.

The work consists of two interconnected parts marked by ideograms:
Lover ♀ female symbol of the goddess Venus associated with eros and beauty.
Warrior ♂ male symbol of the god Mars connected to war and the strength of physical prowess.
