This is the second in the "Shining Soul" series, which I composed between 2009 and 2013. At the root of this series, which I started voluntarily, is a very personal feeling of gratitude for my father (who died in 2014), who fell ill in 2009, and a wish for his recovery (I won't go into details). In "2", I tried to create a polyphonic march with two central themes (motives), but without being "brave".
The first theme appears in the first four bars of the piece, and sometimes it is interrupted and intertwined with the other theme, and sometimes its "inversion" dominates a part of the piece.
The other theme is a melody from the rehearsal mark [A]. Its opening two bars in particular are a recurring pattern.
In the middle part of the piece, there are different melodies and motives from the two themes, but by developing the two main themes, I tried to give the piece an inner strength. However, the piece itself does not represent a specific story or scene. I hope that the performers and listeners will be able to draw their own stories.
