The composition is in 3 parts and proposes the rhythmic and melodic aspects of three Japanese folk songs (Zui, zui - Kagome, Kagome - Ocharaka).

Carlo Pirola (Picarband is his pen name) is an Italian composer.

He has won numerous national and international competitions for his original works for wind band.

Most of his works have been published by Italian publishers. Other publishers in the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Spain, and Austria have also published his works.

His works have been published under the name Picarband and performed in Europe, Asia, America, and Australia.

He is particularly dedicated to education for youth bands and is involved in various activities for the development of amateur wind music.
