Program notes:

This short piece was composed in 2003 at the request of friends who were playing the trombone with me at the time.
It borrows melodies and motifs from five famous pieces by Beethoven, the ‘saint of music,’ and is composed in a gentle march style. In the latter half, Mozart (two pieces) and Haydn (one piece) also make an appearance, and the piece reaches a lively climax, just like the title ‘Carnival’ suggests.
