Program notes:

The composition is in 3 parts and proposes the rhythmic and melodic aspects of three Japanese folk songs (Zui, zui - Kagome, Kagome - Ocharaka). Here are some extra-musical suggestions for playing.
These children's songs could foster further educational creativity, with drawings inspired by children's games, to be projected during the performance. Better still, the possibility of using a group of children with imaginative choreographies, with dance movements inspired by the musical characteristics of the three songs.
For this reason, some suggestions for setting are suggested: in the 1st song a group of children who play using their hands and parts of the body in a rhythmic way (such as body percussion) or who have fun blowing and producing soap bubbles, which they follow trying to catch them with your hands.
In the 2nd song some children in the garden who are quietly walking, observe the birds in flight that chirp (underlined by the sound of the birds wistle in the score). Children imitate the flight of birds by moving their arms as if they were wings, improvising a dance to the proposed music.
In the 3rd song a festive dance could be invented with objects manipulated by the children (hats or scarves or anything else at will). These are just free suggestions that leave room for the creative imagination of every Youth Band willing to well realize these FUN GAMES with music and choreographic movements.

The musical performance is mainly intended for the Youth Bands, but the flexible instrumentation is well suited to the standard staff of the Bands in general. The rhythmic care is of primary importance, in addition to clearly realizing the melodic lines and harmonic ensembles, all in the right balance between the sections. There will be short and easy solo interventions entrusted to various instruments.
The use of the various percussions that give the three pieces liveliness, such as the initial dynamic contrasts, is of good effect. Followed by a central moment of expressive tranquility and an engaging final fun.
