He started learning the violin at a young age, and began playing percussion instruments when he was twelve years old. He studied the basics of percussion with Yasushi Sasaki, Ritsuko Hoshi, Makoto Aruga and Takafumi Fujimoto.\u003cbr\u003eSince winning second prize in the 9th Japan Society for Contemporary Music Competition (Kyogaku IX) he has premiered more than fifty compositions by numerous composers. These premieres, born out of close contact and mutual trust between the composer and performer, and further performances of the same works, have been widely acclaimed. In 2011 Mizuki made his Suntory Hall debut in a concert which he organized himself, entitled Rainbow 21 Suntory Hall Concert “The Sound of Percussion Music - its Creativity and Inheritance”, and in the same year Michiko Takahashi gave him the vibraphone she had used for many years. This deepened Mizuki’s interest in the unique appeal of the instrument, and he gave the first of his annual solo recitals the following year. In 2012 he organized a a concert at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, entitled “The World of Yoshio Hachimura” as a tribute to the composer who died at the young age of forty seven. The concert was a much talked about event. In 2014, his appearance on the NHK-FM program Recital Nova was so successful that his percussion recital a month later was sold out. Mizuki specialized in percussion in the Department of Virtuoso at the Musashino Academia Musicae. He completed post-graduate studies at the same institution, thus completing the virtuoso course. In return, this work is an \"Improvisation\" composed in about 1 hour in Nozomi 343, which was on the move on August 17, 2019, on the day of the 36th birthday of Shoichi Yabuta.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“It's good to try to imitate the technique of a composer in one of the ways to learn composition, that is, to learn,” said Dr. Michio Mamiya. I express my appreciation for the music time that I had done with Mr. Yabuta, and I express my utmost respect for Mr. Yabuta's style. Based on Mr. Yabuta's 36th birthday, it is composed of 36 measures, followed by a time signature of 1\/4, 2\/4, which also represents Mr. Yabuta's life. In other words, I will compose 37\/4, the 37th measure in 2020. This is a work that suggests a dialogue between composer and performer.  The composition is based on the image that 1\/4 is 1-year-old Mr. Yabuta, 2\/4 is 2-year-old. It was a long time ago when I met him, so I wrote it with my imagination, but during childhood I focused on listening to the reverberation. Adolescents are particularly silent, and he continue to grope for who he is, and express his youthful passion with vigorous phrases for adolescents. I hope it will serve as a concert etude for vibraphone. Chinese History” (CentralReview Publishing) is still continued to be read by many people to learn Chinese history.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMy Grandfather would like me to go on the way of “Study”, so I still remember his disappointed expression, when I told him that I would go on the way of “Music”.\u003cbr\u003eHowever, I know he supported me secretly. And, my appreciation of his support and memory with him are connected to this work; A Circumnavigation of “Biwako” Lake. \u003cbr\u003eThis song was composed for Boat Circle of the “Third High School” (present “Kyoto University”), and kept sung by students. My Grand father always sang this song when he was drinking. When I was little, I didn’t understand the meaning of lyrics. \u003cbr\u003eBut, I know that this song is his favorite, in my memory. With a remembrance, I tried to arrange and play this work by the Vibraphone. And, in the Autumn of 2014, I played this work at my Vibraphone recital, firstly, and then, continued to play this work in many events.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn the Winter of 2019, Shuhei Umemoto (Mr.) asked me about publishing of the work. I didn’t write the score, because I had no idea about publishing of this work. So, I tried to write the score of this work, one by one, and it was quite interesting. Bach was returning to Weimar, Bach obtained the score of this work, and also arranged to “Concerto for Organ BWV596”.\u003cbr\u003eBefore I started a career as a percussion player, I learned this work through a lesson of violin. Lessons by my violin teacher, Seiko Terui, became a base of my music. I was considering that someday I would be able to play this work by percussion. Although I once tried to perform by a solo Vibraphone, it was not so good. I wanted Multi-layered sound by ensemble.\u003cbr\u003eIn Spring of 2021, Kanna Taniguchi discussed with me an encore for a concert in Kyoto, on 14th August. It should be performed by all members. At that time, I thought that now is the time to perform this work. I suggested my newly writing, and she agreed readily. I studied both of the scores by Vivaldi and Bach, and arranged to the work for percussion ensemble. I have done all of my best so that this work, which has been still brilliant for 310 years, will be well performed by percussion. The 1st movement of No. 11 in D minor starts with irritability, and after only 3bars of cry, proceed to a finale of Fuga. From 1708 to 1717, when J. S. Bach was returning to Weimar, Bach obtained the score of this work, and also arranged to “Concerto for Organ BWV596”.\u003cbr\u003eBefore I started a career as a percussion player, I learned this work through a lesson of violin. Lessons by my violin teacher, Seiko Terui, became a base of my music. I was considering that someday I would be able to play this work by percussion. Although I once tried to perform by a solo Vibraphone, it was not so good. I wanted Multi-layered sound by ensemble.\u003cbr\u003eIn Spring of 2021, Kanna Taniguchi discussed with me an encore for a concert in Kyoto, on 14th August. It should be performed by all members. At that time, I thought that now is the time to perform this work. I suggested my newly writing, and she agreed readily. I studied both of the scores by Vivaldi and Bach, and arranged to the work for percussion ensemble. I have done all of my best so that this work, which has been still brilliant for 310 years, will be well performed by percussion. This image became the word “Kankai,” and I wished to put my reverence for the sea into music.\u003cbr\u003eEach of the sound patterns is simple when played alone, but when they overlap with each other, they create a unique sound. This is partly due to the influence of Indonesian gamelan music. The piece can be played by three players, but the same part can also be played by several instruments. Some friends in the wind band were rehearsing it. I was captivated by the music's unique atmosphere, and upon researching it, I discovered it was a madrigal composed nearly five centuries ago.
