It was the center of the family and the source of livelihood. At the gathering place the tribe members sat around the fireplace and sang, symbolizing the continuation and prosperity of life.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eHarvest Festival: (measures 159-183): Praying for a good harvest in the coming year was done with singing and dancing. The more enthusiastic the celebration is, the more abundant the crops will be. Harvest Festival was the most important celebration for the agriculture based A-Mei Tribe. In return, this work is an \"Improvisation\" composed in about 1 hour in Nozomi 343, which was on the move on August 17, 2019, on the day of the 36th birthday of Shoichi Yabuta.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“It's good to try to imitate the technique of a composer in one of the ways to learn composition, that is, to learn,” said Dr. Michio Mamiya. I express my appreciation for the music time that I had done with Mr. Yabuta, and I express my utmost respect for Mr. Yabuta's style. Based on Mr. Yabuta's 36th birthday, it is composed of 36 measures, followed by a time signature of 1\/4, 2\/4, which also represents Mr. Yabuta's life. In other words, I will compose 37\/4, the 37th measure in 2020. This is a work that suggests a dialogue between composer and performer.  The composition is based on the image that 1\/4 is 1-year-old Mr. Yabuta, 2\/4 is 2-year-old. It was a long time ago when I met him, so I wrote it with my imagination, but during childhood I focused on listening to the reverberation. Adolescents are particularly silent, and he continue to grope for who he is, and express his youthful passion with vigorous phrases for adolescents. I hope it will serve as a concert etude for vibraphone. And, my appreciation of his support and memory with him are connected to this work; A Circumnavigation of “Biwako” Lake. \u003cbr\u003eThis song was composed for Boat Circle of the “Third High School” (present “Kyoto University”), and kept sung by students. My Grand father always sang this song when he was drinking. When I was little, I didn’t understand the meaning of lyrics. \u003cbr\u003eBut, I know that this song is his favorite, in my memory. With a remembrance, I tried to arrange and play this work by the Vibraphone. And, in the Autumn of 2014, I played this work at my Vibraphone recital, firstly, and then, continued to play this work in many events.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn the Winter of 2019, Shuhei Umemoto (Mr.) asked me about publishing of the work. I didn’t write the score, because I had no idea about publishing of this work. So, I tried to write the score of this work, one by one, and it was quite interesting. I was inspired to write this piece by the lively scene of clouds of little sparkling fairies, drifting and dancing amongst the trees. This one-movement piece begins with the discovery of just few fireflies. They gradually find more and more groups to join in, and finally the entire forest is decorated with thousands of twinkles. The music depicts the exciting scene that fireflies fill the air with acrobatic and aesthetic grace. Consequently, I specified the sound range only from A to C, and tried to show that, on high notes, the Marimba has an attractiveness as an instrument. Hearing that she wanted a cheerful music with voice, we searched for some poems together. She chose \"Sougaku\" from Shuntaro Tanikawa's collection of poems, \"Letters\". After receiving Tanikawa's permission to use the poem, we began composing, and were overwhelmed by the breadth of the poetry and music contained in the poem.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn my composition \"Sougaku,\" one person breathes into a single instrument and plays a variety of music, including Western, Eastern, and contemporary music. The first half of the piece imitates each section of the orchestra, with the brass instruments playing fanfares (ceremonial flourishes) in the \"Golden Instruments,\" the flute virtuosos (technical passages) in the \"Silver Instruments,\" the oboes weaving d'amore (affectionate songs) in the \"Wooden Instruments,\" and the \"Flesh Instruments\" playing discordant The \"Flesh Instrument\" has a dissonant \"Appassionato\" (passionate musical idea).
